Zac Perry Announces Candidacy for House District 3

Martin City, Montana–April 12, 2012 — Zac Perry is throwing his hat in the ring in his bid for House District 3.  A 34-year member of the community, Zac plans to represent his district by taking a community agenda to Helena, not a personal one.   The primary election is June 5, 2012 and the general election is November 6, 2012.

“I believe it is time for fresh ideas to tackle quality job creation, the preservation of our heritage & way of life, and the understanding of how valuable public education is to our kids, young adults, and our local economy,” says Zac Perry. “I also believe it is very important to come together and bridge the polarization that has taken place in recent years, making it difficult to accomplish anything for the people of Montana.  We have more in common than we realize.  Montana values can bring the representatives of both parties together to move Montana forward.”

Zac Perry is a lifelong product of this community.  He grew up in Martin City and graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1996 at the top of his class.  Zac went on to graduate from the University Of Notre Dame in 2001 with a B.A. Political Science.  He is a substitute teacher at CFHS, manages his family’s Ox Yoke Inn vacation rental property and works for his best friend, O’Brien Byrd, his treasurer, at O’Brien’s Liquor and Wine in Columbia Falls.  Zac volunteers with First Best Place and believes strongly in its mission to build quality of life amenities for our community.

“I’ve known Zac Perry since 2003. Zac is smart, a hard worker, and a community leader who leads by example. Zac is also my friend, and he’ll be great in the legislature,”  says Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer
